"I am pleased to say that we successfully chickcamed (yes, I made up the word, but I like it!) the BOE incubator. The feed will be live before the end of the day this afternoon (4 pm) and will remain live throughout the next week."

Also, we have sample eggs displayed in the classroom that show what the chicks look like inside their shell. Days 1-18 are pictured below :)
In Literacy our theme for this week was colors and rainbows! The children loved meeting ROY G. BIV! They created a color book by tracing the color words and coloring the pictures, an adorable rainbow craft with cotton clouds, and even mixed primary colors to create secondary colors – that was fun! Who said finger painting was too messy?!!
We also read "A Rainbow of my Own." The children wrote in their journals and illustrated a picture of what they wanted their rainbow to be. Examples include hammocks, slides, flower gardens, and super-hero costumes - what creative minds they have!!!
- Writing Center: Students completed digraph book.
- Listening Center: Students listened to stories on tape.
- Math Center: Children looked for all 10 clocks around the classroom and wrote the time down on their recording sheet next to the corresponding letter.
- Word Work: Children taped out CVC words and then revealed pictures to self-correct. Then, they wrote the word on a whiteboard.
That about wraps up our week. Have a fantastic weekend! I will leave you with a picture taken from "Fun Friday!" The children are drawing on the table!!! What?!?!?! (hehehe it's a whiteboard table- they loved it!
