After a week off from school, I am happy to announce the children were able to transition back into the swing of things very smoothly. Although I saw many tired faces on Monday, the excitement of the chicks hatching soon pepped the children right up!
Speaking of chicks. we have been tracking the growth of our baby chicks. We have sample eggs displayed in the classroom that show what they look like inside their shell. Friday was Day 9.

In Math, we counted how long it took to walk and tiptoe across the room. First, we practiced counting at a steady beat. To do this, the kiddos clapped as they counted. Then, we predicted if it would take longer to walk across the room or tiptoe. Most of the children thought it would take longer to tiptoe :) They were right! Take a look :)
