In Fundations, we continued to practice reading and "tapping out" our Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) words.
In addition, the children learned the proper letter formation for the uppercase letters A, B, C, D, E, and F. We also reviewed the corresponding lowercase letters, too!
In Math, I introduced the double ten frame. I displayed a number between 10 and 19 and asked the students to show that number on their double ten frame. They were directed to fill up one ten frame first and then the second ten frame to complete the number. Then we discussed how showing the number in this way compares with showing the numbers with "10 and some more" fingers.
