This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday in style! The children loved wearing their red striped hats during class time to get in the spirit. We also made -at word family Cat in the Hat masks, which were a HUGE hit with the children. They loved sticking their cute little faces inside :)
To finish up our unit on Dr. Seuss and Read Across America, we made adorable little Wockets to go inside our pockets we made from last week. They are on display in the hallway for everyone to admire!
Not only did we celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, but we also celebrated Christopher's birthday as well. Christopher's father came in to read to the children and I've never seen them more giggly! Did you know that we will celebrate 5 birthdays in March?!
- Jack and Martha are friends.
- The friends went to a party.
In Math, we played "Read My Mind Game." I told the children that I am going to choose a mystery block, and they will try to "read my mind" and guess the block.
For this game, the children asked yes or no questions. After each question was asked, the children helped me remove or "erase" the attribute blocks according to the answer they received. We continued in this manner until only the mystery block remained. This game was so much fun!!
Have an awesome weekend and as always, stay safe!
Warm Regards,
Miss Visicaro
