Only 12 more day of school :( I know the children are excited for summer break (and so am I), but it's hard for me to imagine not seeing them everyday!
I have to say that I was quite sad Thursday after school as I set up the classroom for our last month in school. I changed the calendar for the very last time and changed the kiddos jobs for the last time. I had an incredible year with your children and feel so very blessed to have such amazing classes!
This week in Fundations, we practiced sentence dictation and learned about the importance of proofreading.
Check out the sentence they made all on their own! Your children are just so smart!!! We also learned a new Trick Word: from. The children amaze me day after day with all the words they know now!
I called on a volunteer and directed them to dive the car for about 10 seconds until I said "stop." To find out how far the car moved, we used a tape measure. We started measuring at the starting point and stopped measuring at the spot where the car stopped. I explained that we need to know an objects initial and final position in order to measure how far it has traveled. Take a look!
