Thank you to our class moms for coordinating two very fun parties! The treats were delicious and the children had so much fun playing all the games!
Thank you AGAIN for your incredible support and generosity. The gifts I received were beyond generous! Thank you all so much! You have completely spoiled me and I am incredibly thankful.
To celebrate Flag Day, the children created heart shaped flag day hats- super patriotic. They are so cute! They also designed their own flags for our classroom!
-Who are the characters in the story?
-What is the setting?
- What are the main events? What happened first? Then what happened? What happened next? What happened at the end?
The next day, the children watched as I threw three bean bags: one soft, one medium, and the other hard. The children noticed that the first bean bag traveled a short distance because I used very little force. I used more force when throwing the second bean bag and used the most force when throwing the third bean bag. Then, I called on a student to do the very same thing while another student measured the distance each bean bag traveled using a tape measure :)
Finally, I set up three boxes and put them on a track;
- Box A was empty.
- Box B had bouncy balls in it,
- Box C had two bags of marbles in it.
I challenged some students to use a single push (finger flick) on each box to push each toward the finish line. I asked: Which box required the most force? Least? In the middle? Take a look at our findings!
We also spent some time writing! The children wrote about which season they like best and why.
Your incredible children even helped me write a letter to my next year's Kindergarten class about caring ways to work together during reading time. The even illustrated a self-portrait of themselves. I glued each child's picture to the letter. So sweet!
We also finished our memory books! I hope you enjoyed reading them :) The children worked incredibly hard on them.
I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by. The next two days will surely be a blur. I have loved working with you to make this year a success for your child. Thank you for your open communication and support; and trusting me with your beautiful children all year.
Have a great weekend!

P.S. Monday and Tuesday are half days. There will be no milk on those days so if your child usually orders milk, make sure you pack your child a drink on Monday and Tuesday.
